    Abstract

This paper proposes a CPS-based data collection system for smart factories. Due to the recent de-velopment of the 4th industrial revolution, projects such as industry 4.0 and smart factory have been actively carried out and the autonomic control system is becoming a prominent issue. In order for the autonomic control system to monitor the whole manufacturing plant, data of sensors and ma-chines inside the plant should be integrated. However, sensors and machines form different manu-facturers use different data types, making integration management difficult. Therefore, this paper in-troduces the 4-step process and architecture of CPS-based data collection system for smart factory, 1) Data Transmission, 2) Analysis & Parsing Data Type, 3) Storing Data, and 4) Providing Data. This enables real-time monitoring by integrating data from sensors and machines using different da-ta types within the manufacturing plant, and enables the establishment of improved Smart factories with factory data analysis.
